After moving to NYC at 18, Courtney Flaherty began DJing and throwing parties in the East Village & Lower East Side. She picked up the moniker 24COURT, as in 24kt, and was quickly playing fashion week events in NYC, Paris & Berlin for companies such as Prada, Chloe, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen. Courtney was DJing along side acts such as Annie Lennox, The Raconteurs, James Murphy, and The Sounds.
Also, she was a resident DJ for the weekly Friday nite party Ruff Club in the Lower East Side for the 4 years it ran. And then Germs in Brooklyn for the entire time it went on. Both parties were popular progressive dance parties that had multiple write ups in NY and international press. Acts such as Boys Noize, Andrew WK, Designer Drugs, and many up and coming bands as well as other international acts as guests. Played live as well as DJed and one of her latest gig was for an Event with Mick Jagger in NYC.
